Pat Grady (2000, WY)

Pat Grady is a partner at Sequoia Capital, which he joined in 2007.  Sequoia is a private investment partnership dedicated to serving two communities: the founders in whom it invests, and the universities and foundations that trust the firm with their money.  Pat’s company focuses on maximizing the long-term impact of founders’ ideas.  The firm has worked with Steve Jobs, Larry Page, Larry Ellison, Jan Koum, Jack Dorsey, Brian Chesky, Jensen Huang, Elon Musk, Jack Ma, Wang Xing, Zhang Yiming, and many other legendary founders. In the last decade, Sequoia has delivered more than $10 billion in gains to great causes such as cancer research, women’s rights, childhood nutrition, education, and scholarships at universities including Boston College, which Pat attended on a Presidential Scholarship. 

Pat grew up in the Powder River Basin of Wyoming and today lives in Portola Valley, California, with his wife, Sarah, and their daughter, Kinsley. Outside of Sequoia, he can be found in the hills--skiing or snowboarding in the winter and road- or mountain-biking in the summer.
