Seed Grant Program Applicant Information

U.S. Presidential Scholars Foundation created the Seed Grant Program to support Scholar alumni as they give back to our communities, the U.S. and its territories, and the world at large. The Seed Grant Program contributes to this goal by funding specific projects led by Scholar alumni.

All project proposals submitted by Presidential Scholar alumni are welcome, and you must be a Scholar to receive grant funding. Priority may be given to project proposals that are:

  • Difficult to fund otherwise

  • Collaborative projects among two or more Scholar alumni

  • Focused on the Scholar’s home state or territory

  • Seeking to address unique community issues raised by the Covid-19 pandemic

Grants are awarded in amounts up to $5,000 per project and up to $10,000 per annual cycle. The application is short and focused on project quality and impact, not a lot of paperwork. We have funded projects that address a variety of initiatives (including arts, technology, civil justice, and civic participation).

Applications are due on January 31, 2021, at 11:59PM U.S. Eastern Time.
